Mobile Picking and Cycle Counting for
SAP®
As the only
NON-RF solution currently on the market for warehouse picking and
cycle-counting, the Mobile Gateway™ Mobile Picking system is a order
picking system designed for the Pocket PC that enables it users to upload
Production orders for picking, capture picked material quantity counts,
and confirmed the picked Production Order in SAP®.
The system
is designed to operate in a real-time mode via a wireless network, or in a
disconnected mode via a docking station connected to your network.
Production orders can be fully or partially picked with the order
information transmitted to SAP®. In addition, the system provides the user
with the SAP® inventory levels for each material during the picking
process to alert the user of a potential shortage. The material
information can be scanned into the system or manually entered using the
Pocket PC on-screen keyboard.
The system
is deigned with an internal error correction component to alert the user
of SAP® material/order errors and correct them instantaneously. The Mobile
Picking system also has a Cycle Count component that allows it users to
perform material inventory quantity counts and update the material
inventory in SAP®. The Mobile Picking system is designed to support
multiple plants and warehouse employees within a company. All plants using
the same SAP® system can reap the benefits of increased productivity and order/inventory accuracy.
