The SAP® PM Interface

The PDC Gateway PM interface integrates Kronos® labor or Time and Attendance systems to SAP® PM for Service Orders. The SAP® PM (Plant Maintenance) interface allows labor time tickets that have taken place on existing Service Orders in the SAP® to be uploaded. The entries are confirmations of Operations on a given Service Order. The interface supports all confirmation activities including cancellations, partial, and total confirmations. With the PM interface, operation data relating to service orders and PDC-relevant master data are downloaded as needed (generally as a timed task) from the SAP® system.

The PM downloads include:

• Work Centers 
• Service Orders

Additional downloads required for the Service Order interface are provided in the PP-PDC download which is a perquisite of the Service Order module.

The PM uploads include:

• Service Order related Time Ticket Confirmations 
• Service Order related Confirmation Cancellations

The same interface technologies that are used for PP-PDC are used for the PM interface. The SAP IDOCs are different and the confirmation BAPIs are different but the functionality is the same.
